Board Meeting
February 15, 2022
Minutes
Attending: SIA Board President John Lehnhardt, SIA Board Members Mary Beasman, Walter Garrard, Steve Melchiori and SIA member Andy Dlugosz.
The SIA Board met to review the following projects recently recommended by the ARC and sent to the Board for final approval:
– The addition of driveway pavers at 1821 E. Barefoot
– The addition of a paved pathway and small side patio at 1930 W. Shell
– The addition of a fenced dog run at 1820 E. Barefoot
Following Board review and discussion of these projects, separate motions for approval were made and seconded for each of these three projects. The Board took an individual vote on each individual project, unanimously approving each of these.
Additional Board business included the following:
– Required 5 -year seawall maintenance and repair of the 18 feet SIA owns along the seawall ( 6 feet behind each set of SIA beach stairs): John reported the cost of maintenance and repair of the SIA portion for the seawall is $2,000. This amount was budgeted was 2021-22. A motion was made and seconded to approve this expenditure. The Board voted unanimously to approve this expenditure.
– John advised he will follow up on the pavers installed at 1841 E. Barefoot and provide information to the Board on this at its next meeting.
– Review final costs of E. Shell stairs repair: John presented receipts in the amount of $281.52 for the final work to repair the E. Shell beach stairs. This includes a second set of 8 ft posts to stabilize the stairs, additional hardware and the installation of 4 additional steps as the sand has receded from the time of the initial repair. The total cost of this project to date is $1,812.78. $2,000 had been budgeted to address this issue. A motion was made and seconded to approve this expenditure. The Board voted unanimously to approve this expenditure and reimburse John for the cost of this final work on the stairs.
The Board expressed thanks to the SIA volunteers who took on this project and successfully repaired and stabilized the E. Barefoot stairs.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
