Beach Access Stair Damage
Just when we thought we had avoided any major damage due to Hurricane Ian, large NE swells created by Ian reentering the Atlantic to our North, have damaged our beach access stairs. E. Shell is severely damaged and unusable. E. Barefoot Pl stairs are so far intact. The E. Pebble Path stairs have railing damage that will require some work and are not currently useable. It is not safe to go on the beach currently due to heavy surf and sand loss of over 6 feet along the seawall. Unfortunately, todays high tide at Noon when the damage first occurred is only the first of several high tides expected with significant NE surf. We can quite likely expect further damage over the next couple days. I will keep people posted.
For those in residence who were expecting trash pickup today, Waste Management has rescheduled our area pickup for Monday October 3.
