February 24, 2020

Review and vote on ARC recommendation to approve pool plans for 1951 E. Barefoot PL:
John Lehnhardt distributed a site diagram of the proposed pool to be constructed on the property of Alan and Wendy Kelley at 1951 W. Barefoot Place. The pool will be located behind the house on the property and includes a screened lanai area. This proposed construction meets all the required setbacks required by the County. John advised the ARC has reviewed the plans for the pool and recommended approval of the construction of the pool and the screened lanai. Following a brief discussion, a motion was made that the Board approve the plans for the construction of the pool and screened lanai at 1951 W. Barefoot Place. In a unanimous vote, the Board approved these plans.
Report on impact on non-SIA activity on E. Pebble Path with the addition of security cameras and warning signs and the placement of a lock on E. Pebble Path beach access gate:
Following complaints from E. Pebble residents about the increasing use of their street by non-SIA members to walk dogs and/or access the beach, two security cameras were installed on the street, new warning signs added and a lock placed on the beach access gate. John has monitored the security cameras for two weeks and reported to the Board on the impact of the measures taken to address non-SIA members using E. Pebble Path. The use of the cameras, warning signs and the lock on the beach access gate are effective deterrents to trespassers. As a result, the vast majority of those using E. Pebble Path now are SIA residents. Some SIA residents on E. Pebble have commented on the lack of trespassers and expressed appreciation to the Board for the measures implemented to deal with this situation. During discussion the Board agreed to continue the current monitoring of E. Pebble. A suggestion was made to install security cameras on all SIA streets. The consensus of the Board was the other SIA streets do not experience the same amount of trespassing as was happening on E. Pebble to warrant installing cameras. An additional comment concerned the number of cars looping down E. Shell, around the cul de sac and back out to A1A. Any SIA resident concerned with non-SIA member cars cruising up and down one of our streets should call the IRC sheriff office and request a patrol car drive through the street several times to provide a visual presence and deter repeated looping by non-SIA cars,
John provided the Board with receipts for the cost of the cameras and the new waring signs installed on E. Pebble Path. A motion was made to reimburse John for these SIA expenses. This motion was approved in a unanimous vote of the Board.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted
Mary Beasman. Secretary, SIA Inc.
