New Member Acknowledgement of SIA Information
As an applicant for membership in the Summerplace Improvement Association, Inc. (SIA), I/we acknowledge the following:
- I/We have completed the SIA application and submitted this paperwork with the required $100 application fee.
- I/We have participated in the SIA Board new membership interview and understand the following:a. The volunteer nature of the SIA communityb. The responsibilities and oversight of the SIA Board of Directors
c. There is currently a lawsuit against SIA by an SIA member. Our SIA insurance covers the cost of our defense attorneys. In the future SIA may incur some expenses related to this lawsuit. SIA members will be advised of this and whether a special assessment is necessary to meet these costs. Our defense attorneys have advised SIA members not to engage with the plaintiff nor anyone who works for him. The attorneys will handle any issues related to this lawsuit.
- I/We have reviewed and accept the following:
a. SIA ARC general rules and guidelines
b. SIA parking and rental restrictions.
c. SIA bylaws and additional governing documents - I/We attest we discussed the above information with SIA Board members and requested clarification of this material as necessary during the new membership interviewwith SIA Board members.
