Re: Notice of 2015 Annual Meeting Date
The Annual Meeting of Summerplace Improvement Association will take place this year on Saturday, November 14, 2015. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us, Details regarding the meeting will be sent to all SIA members in the fall.
In the meantime, enclosed is important information from John Lehnhardt regarding the 2015 Nominating Process for the SIA Board of Directors and Call for Nominations.
John Lehnhardt agreed to chair the SIA Nominating Committee for 2015 after Lil Miller Fox informed us she wished to step down as Committee Chair. A special thanks to Lil for her two years of service and leadership on the Committee.
The enclosed memo from John describes the 2015 nominating process. This information provides any SIA member with the opportunity to express their interest in being considered by the Nominating Committee as a candidate for the SIA Board of Directors.

Re: 2015 Nominating Process for SIA Board of Directors & Call for Nominations
Each November, the SIA membership elects a Board of Directors to represent them on matters concerning the Summerplace community. This year’s meeting and election of members of the SIA Board of Directors will be Saturday, November 14, 2015. The first important decision the new Board makes is the appointment of four officers. These four officers – SIA President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer – are advised by, and report to, the Board.
As per the enclosed memo from SIA President Walter Garrard, I have been asked to chair the Nominating Committee for the SIA Board of Directors for 2015. I will serve alongside returning committee members Jean Etzel, Van Gainous, Carol Glade and Mary Kirby, who have all agreed to be on the 2015 Nominating Committee.
I encourage SIA members to contact me, or any member of the committee, if they would like to serve on the Board or nominate a neighbor.
On September 15, 2015, the Nominating Committee will submit a slate of names for this year’s voting ballot. We encourage your participation and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Please have nominations to the committee no later than August 15, 2015
