Minutes – SIA Board of Directors meeting Monday November 28, 2022
The SIA open Board meeting was called to order at 9am Monday Nov. 28, 2022 in the driveway of 1991 W. Barefoot Place. Attending were SIA Board members Walter Garrard, Steve Melchiori, Mary Beasman and John Lehnhardt, and SIA member Andy Dlugosz.
The ARC approval for a driveway paver extension project for 1820 E. Barefoot Pl. was reviewed, including the survey showing this area is part of the 1820 property. John advised that this survey matches several other surveys showing individual private property lines in the East Barefoot Pl cul de sac. The board found no issue with the proposal and a motion for approval was seconded and unanimously passed.
Updates:
Stair repairs – The work being done in-house to repair the SIA beach stairs will begin as soon as SIA receives the emergency permit from the County to proceed with this work. Final materials are scheduled to be received sometime this week.
SIA Fence replacement along CR510 – About 100ft of the SIA perimeter fence along CR510 was removed by FPL with our approval to facilitate the cutting down of a large number of Australian pines on a private lot in our association. These tall pines posed a major risk of damage to nearby power lines in strong northerly winds. These power lines feed electricity to our community. FPL has agreed to replace the fence at no cost to SIA and we are waiting for them to complete the job. Andy Dlugosz is monitoring this project and is in regular touch with FPL. He will let us know when he gets a timeline from them for the project completion.
