Notice of 2026 Annual Meeting
The Annual Meeting of the Summerplace Improvement Association will take place this year on
Saturday, November 14, 2026 at 10am. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us. Details
regarding the 2026 Annual Meeting will be sent to all SIA members in the fall.
Call for Nominations for the SIA Board of Directors for 2026-2027
The election for all five SIA Board of Director seats is held yearly at the annual meeting in November.
Details on the nominating process are provided in the enclosed 2026-7 Call for Nominations from Ed
Seemann, Chair of the Nominating Committee. This invitation provides any SIA member with the
opportunity to express their interest in being considered by the Nominating Committee as a candidate
for the SIA Board of Directors.
Please read Ed’s enclosed letter and contact Ed with any questions on this process or to discuss your
interest in serving on the SIA Board.
New Neighbors
1861 E. Barefoot Pl. was sold by Amy Hanlon to David and Denise Kniess from North Carolina. They
will be part time residents and are planning an addition to the bungalow.
Construction has been completed on the new house at 1990 W. Barefoot Pl. for Loren Anne Smith of
Southfield, MA. Loren spent a few months here this Winter and Spring. She is planning to live here at
least part time.
Construction was completed on Jonelle and Eddie Dean’s new house at 1941 W. Barefoot. They have
moved in and are permanent residents.
1940 W. Shell lane was sold by Deb and Leeann to members Robert and Carol Burchett, who then
deeded the property to their good friends Frank and Daryl Wroblewski. Frank and Daryl will be full time
residents once they sell their house in Waterway Village.

SUMMERPLACE IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION RENTAL POLICY REMINDER
There have been reports of members not registering their renters as required and violating the
rental policy. The policy is listed below.
Rental of individual properties within SIA is limited to a minimum period of not less than thirty (30) days
and to a maximum period of a total of six (6) months within each calendar year of January 1st –
December 31st.
Any SIA property owner who plans to rent a property within the Summerplace Improvement
Association, Inc. (SIA) is required to notify the SIA Board of Directors by completing, signing and
returning the Rental Registration Form to the SIA Board of Directors at least two (2) weeks prior to the
beginning of each specific rental of the property.
The Rental Registration Form can be found under the SIA POLICIES heading at the top of our
website homepage: www.summerplaceflorida.com. There is also one printed on the back of this page.

Rental Registration Form
Effective July 1, 2019, an SIA property owner who plans to rent a property within Summerplace
Improvement Association, Inc. (SIA) is required to notify the SIA Board of Directors by completing,
signing and returning this form to the SIA Board President at least two (2) weeks prior to the
beginning of each specific rental of the property.
The undersigned SIA property owner makes application to rent property within the SIA. By
executing this application, the undersigned acknowledges the renter named below has been
informed of the provisions of the SIA General Rules and Information, as adopted by SIA, Inc.
(Attached to this application).
Failure to follow this procedure may result in the removal of any renter within SIA who has not
been registered with the SIA Board by the SIA property owner. The SIA property owner may also
face disciplinary action by the SIA Board.

The SIA property owner is responsible for providing their renter with the enclosed SIA General
Rules and Information for review and acceptance prior to renting an SIA property. The renter
should be advised to retain these documents for reference while you are renting within SIA.

Re: 2026-7 Nominating Process for SIA Board of Directors
Call for Nominations
Each November, the SIA membership elects a Board of Directors to represent them on matters concerning the Summerplace community. This year’s meeting and election of members of the SIA Board of
Directors will be Saturday, November 14, 2026.
I have been asked to chair the Nominating Committee for the SIA Board of Directors for 2026-7. I will
serve alongside committee members, Carol Glade, Jean Cyr, Renee Hall and Roseann Dlugozs.
All members of the association are eligible to serve on the board of directors, and a member may nom-
inate himself or herself as a candidate for the board with the following exceptions:
1. A person who is delinquent in the payment of any fee, fine, or other monetary obligation to the
association on the day that he or she could last nominate himself or herself or be nominated for
the board may not seek election to the board, and his or her name shall not be listed on the ballot.
2. A person who has been convicted of any felony in this state or in a United States District or Territorial Court, or has been convicted of any offense in another urisdiction which would be considered a felony if committed in this state, may not seek election to the board and is not eligible for board membership unless such felon’s civil rights have been restored for at least 5 years as of the date on which such person seeks election to the board.
I encourage SIA members to contact me, or any member of the Nominating Committee, if they would
like to serve on the Board or nominate a neighbor. Additionally, each nominee for the SIA Board should
complete the Candidate Information Form printed on the back of this letter and submit this to the Nomi-
nating Committee for consideration of their candidacy.
Nominations and completed Candidate Information Forms should be sent to the committee no later
than August 15.2026.
On September 15, 2026, the Nominating Committee will submit a slate of eligible names for this year’s
voting ballot. We encourage your participation and look forward to hearing from you soon.
