As of this morning the high tides and rough surf have damaged the East Shell beach access stairs and they are not safe to use. They have been boarded off and caution tape installed. The platform is secure for standing and observation. E. Barefoot and E. Pebble Path stairs are intact and can be used to access the beach. Repairs will not be able to begin until turtle season officially ends Oct. 31 and a contractor has been retained.
