In what has become an October tradition, the Harvest Full Moon high tides, combined with strong Northeast winds have washed away the E. Shell Beach Access stairs. Caution tape has been placed at the end of the walkway as it is not safe to walk out onto the stair platform.
As of today, the E. Barefoot and E. Pebble Path stairs are still intact and useable, though the ocean is still very rough with high surf. The full damage will not be assessed until the ocean calms down and tides return to normal.
